Originally US Navy bu 34027, this Catalina fought fires with SLAFCO 1972 - 1999. A long time resident parked at Ephrata, the aircraft appeared in the memorable opening scene of the 1989 movie "Always".

Owned by Comanche Air at the time, but now privately owned. This Cat was part of a nice propliner line-up at Ephrata, but the aircraft were parked very close together. The wingtip on the left belongs to a Beech 18, the one on the right to a DC-3.
