Pilot Donald Lynch in 47-1526 tried to land on a straight stretch of Route 218 near Spraggs. He departed the road to avoid a car, clipped off six telephone poles and came to a stop against a sycamore tree. John Ostler in 47-1524 came down in farmer Carl Hoy's field. This swept-wing prototype was a converted F-84E, yet its designation was YF-96A. This was soon changed to YF-84F to sell the project as low-risk, even though the eventual Thunderstreak had little in common with the Thunderjet. This Thunderjet was built at Farmingdale and TOC with the USAF as 52-2910 but immediately exported to Italy to serve with the Aeronautica Militare Italiana as MM52-2910. It joined the Yugoslav AF as 10642 from May 1957 until around 1971, when the plane was retired and became a gate guard at Brnik AB. From 2008 to 2013 the plane underwent this wonderful restoration and is now on display at this very interesting museum.

Not much is known about this F-84G, except that it was delivered in 1957 and is most probably ex Netherlands or Belgian Air Force, and before that, USAF. After it was withdrawn from use it was preserved at Ljubljana-Brnik and in 2011 it went to the Park Vojaške Zgodovine (Park of Military History) in Pivka.

Not much is known about this F-84G, except that it was delivered in 1957 and is most probably ex Netherlands or Belgian Air Force, and before that, USAF. After it was withdrawn from use it was preserved at Ljubljana-Brnik and in 2011 it went to the Park Vojaške Zgodovine (Park of Military History) in Pivka.
