Delivered to the USAAF as 43-17175 in 1944. Registered as NC34538 then to Northwest Airlines as NC95411 in 1945. Reregistered as N95411 in 1949. To Transair as CF-TAL in 1961, Air Distribution as N401AD in 1973, Pacific Air Express in 1982 and reregistered as N301JT in 1983. Stored at Chandler-Gila River Memorial by 1987. Scrapped by 2006. Nose saved.

from my collection, photographer unknown, built in 1944 the Skymaster was in service for the US Army Air Forces and the US Navy before civil operations started in May 1947 for Colonial Airlines as N93267, merged into Eastern Airlines in 1956, but sold on to PSA and in operation for them until April 1962 when it was purchased by Mercer Enterprises. To Canadian Arctic Co.-Op. in Dec 1969 and operated furtheron for Air Commonwealth as CF-QIX, later C-FQIX, damaged and w/o after a take-off accident at Thompson, Manitoba in June 1979, whilst operating for Aero Trades Western. Location is a guess.

Carrying the number "57", seen in the parking area behind the Buffalo Airways hangar at Yellowknife Airport. In its 21st year as a member of the Buffalo Airways fleet, but with its active career as a freighter about to be terminated.

Later retired from military service and entered civil register as N3303F with Aero Union, then to C-GBNV with Buffalo Airways.

Withdrawn from use in 2010 and not in a good condition anymore, with some peeling paint, corrosion and damage to the wing trailing edge. Still a lovely aeroplane to look at, though.

Still surviving on the Phoebus Apollo apron, having not found a new owner since her withdrawal from use in 2005.

Originally delivered to USAAF but in 1947 was used on civil duties by Pan American World Airways (N88950) and later TALOA Transocean Air Lines (N9937F). After that period returned to the USAF till it was retired in 1972.

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-72308 in 1944, then to Northwest as NC14747 before moving to Capital and later Transamerica as N95409. Air Algerie was the next stop as F-OAVS then 7T-VAS. In 1973 she became F-BRHE with Air Comores. Reregistered D6-CAC before clandestinely sold to the SAAF in the early 1980s as 6908. She later became 9Q-CJ, EL-WBB and 3D-JHL with TAC Air Service.
