The Royal Malaysian Air Force (Tentara Udara Diraja Malaysia - TUDM) operates two VIP S-70's since 1997. The 2nd is M46-02 (c/n in doubt) and even though staffed by RMAF personnel, both helicopters are under the direct control of - and take orders from - the Prime Minister's Office. There were plans in 2015 that both helis would be transferred back to the RMAF and join four ex Brunei DF S-70's which were about to be handed over to Malaysia, but the deal with Brunei fell through. Note the external fuel tanks.

This block 52 F-16D - equipped with conformal fuel tanks on top of the wings - is one of a total of 170 "Fighting Falcons" so far delivered to the Hellenic AF under the US Foreign Military Sales Program. 029 carried US FY 06-2118 and was one of ten dual seaters (serialled 021 through 030) of the FMS "Peace Xenia IV" deal, which also included 20 F-16C's. Actually, the "triple two" has been nicknamed "trouble two" within the RTAF, as it had many technical issues and apparently did cost more to run than it's bigger brother, the C-130 Hercules. Built in 1982, this short version of the Do228 first went to Norving A/S as LN-HPE, then to Sweden as SE-KKX in June of 1989 before heading to Kenya in December 2003. In late 2008, it has been seen in all white colors at Lokichoggio (LKG), an airstrip in northern Kenya from where many airplanes fly relief goods into southern Sudan. It also appears to have been based at Jubba in early 2010, operating for South Sudan Air Connection SSAC. More recently, it as been involved in an incident at Pibor, Boma State, South Sudan on September 5, 2020, while being operated by Transafrican Air.

The abbreviation LM stands for "Latih Mukla" and means elementary trainer. The Bravos, as well as the advanced T-34C's trainers, were replaced by a single type, the Grob 120TP.

After B737 cargo planes were allowed to serve Wamena airport as from 2010, the Indonesian DGCA also cleared passenger 737's to land there in early 2014. Around 2018 however, the risk of 737 pax flights was re-evaluated and deemed to be too high, and consequently stopped, even though no incident happened with a pax 737. Reason's given were the relatively short runway length combined with Wamena's altitude of 5500 ft. In turn, the ATR-72 became the standard pax airplane again serving WMX. Note the kids on the other side of the runway, well within the airport premises....

For some time in the early 1990's, it operated two old Lear Jets 35 before upgrading to this 1981 built Falcon 50 in January of 1996. The jet was bought from Geneva based private firm Aeroleasing S.A. and had previously been operated as HB-IEP and N76FJ. It left the Swiss AF fleet in October 2013 and was registered N260ER with Moro Aircraft Leasing Inc.

It was pictured here at the - now closed - air base Lod, back then part of Tel Aviv's international Ben Gurion airport. All of Israel's military transport planes, namely the C-130 and B707 fleet did relocate to Nevatim AB near Beersheba around August of 2008, just a few weeks after this picture was taken. Being an old E version, this airframe has most likely be stored by now.

The TNI-AU started to operate Flankers in August of 2003 and has so far purchased sixteen aircraft of four different versions. The TNI-AU started to operate Flankers in August of 2003 and has so far purchased sixteen aircraft of four different versions. That's far from the original ambitious plan to eventually operate 180 SU-27/30's among 10 squadrons. Currently, two SU-27SK (serialled TS-2701 & -2702), three SU-27SKM (TS-2703 through 2705), two SU-30MK (TS-3001 and TS-3002, pictured here) plus nine SU-30MK2 (TS-3003 through TS-3011) are based at Sultan Hasanuddin AB, South Sulawesi and operated by Skadron Udara 11.

In 2019, the Swiss AF evaluated a new fighter to replace it's ageing F-5's & F-18's. Lockheed-Martin had the USAF send four F-35's from Hill AFB, Utah to Payerne AFB. As part of the evaluation, each aircraft type had to land at Meiringen AFB in the Bernese Oberland. 13-5081 from the 34th Fighter Squadron "Rude Rams" had the privilege to carry out this historic landing, which might very well be the first and last F-35 ever to be seen in Meiringen. Note the swiss cows not bothering at all, as they are used to jet noise. Or did they simple not see the stealth aircraft coming?

Built in 2001, test registration F-WQDS, then as D-HHSN in Germany with Helicopter Service Nordbayern till June 2005, when it was sold to Switzerland. For the next 15 years, Heli-West AG did operate this helicopter with different partners, such as Airport Helicopter located at Beromünster (where this picture was taken) and Mountain Flyers 80 Ltd in Bern. Was de-registered in January 2020 and sold to Austria as OE-XAM.
