A bare two month after this picture was taken, N748P suffered a fatal accident on January 4, 2009 with eight of the nine persons on board being killed. Cause of the accident was a birdstrike (red-tailed hawk) fracturing the windshield and interferring with the engine controls, resulting in the loss of power to both engines from which the crew was unable to recover. A similar incident happened to S-76 N276TH in 1999.
