On display at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force. The C-97 Stratofreighter was the modified cargo/transport version of the B-29. Of the 890 aircraft ordered by USAF, 816 were KC-97 tankers with a tail boom, and the L-model was fitted with two J47 turbojet engines on underwing pylons. This aircraft was flown by 160th Air Refueling Group (ARG) of the Ohio ANG and was christened "Zeppelinheim" by the mayor of that German town during Op. Creek Party, the aerial refueling of NATO forces in Europe.

Ex USAF 53-0280, preserved as the bar "Le Missouri", close to the airport control tower. Still in USAF markings with 'Missouri Air Guard' titles, no serial. Scrapped in early 2004, tail section to Zruc, Czechia.

Previously N422AJ with American Jet Industries and N1037V with Aero Spacelines. To Erikson Air Crane circa 1988. To Tilamook Air Museum circa 1994.

Flight 97 was a restaurant at McMinnville, Oregon from 1985 to 1987. N97KC was made airworthy in 1989/1990 and flown to Greybull then subsequently donated to the Minnesota ANG Museum for display at Minneapolis-St Paul in 2000.

Came to France for a planned Guppy conversion by UTA. Did not occur and it was loaned to the Musée de l'Air et de l'Espace. Acquired by a museum at Nancy-Essey and flown out of Paris. After the museum closed, N49548 was scrapped in 2005. Its tail however found its way to a park in Czechia.

Operated by American Jet Industries it was returning to the USA from Paris Le Bourget (presumably carrying cargo connected with the show) It then went to Aero Union as N422AU and acquired a striking livery.

Operating for the Grace Aire Medical Foundation at the time. Was withdrawn from use by 1995 and stored at Moses Lake, WA. Returned to the air in 1998 with the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation as "Angel of Deliverance" in USAF markings to commemorate the Berlin Airlift.

Constructed using major sections of B377 Stratocruiser N1038V, ex Pan Am, and retaining its original Boeing c/n.

Owned by Erickson Air-Crane. Registration cancelled 1999. Displayed at Medford in USAF markings

Built as a 377 and delivered to Pan American World Airways in September 1949 as N1038V. Initially it was named Clipper Constitution, later renamed Clipper Hotspur. Withdrawn from use and stored at New York in 1960. To Boeing, (August 1960), Lee Mansdorf & Co. (October 1960) and Aero Spacelines (1963), where it was converted to a 377SGT. By August 1965 it was registered N1038V again. In September 1965, the aircraft was involved in an incident at/near Mojave (CA); the airframe failed in-flight (while cruising). The factors included separation in flight and damage was substantial. The aircraft was able to make an emergency landing and there were no fatalities. NASA have had 2 377's registered as N940NS, the other one being c/n 16724.

Georgia Air Guard

To MASDC May 4, 1965. She was returned to USAF service on 23 April 1970. Put on display at NAS JRB Forth Worth, Texas. Purchased by a private party in December 2001 and trucked to Colorado Springs, Colorado, and used as a restaurant.
