This 1961 Helio Courier was first delivered to St Maurice Air Transport as CF-NNB. After a landing accident at Cullaton Lake, NT while surveying for Uranium, the aircraft was repaired in 1968 and sold to John Buck, owner of Northwest Safari Lodge (currently operated by the family as Buck's Trophy Lodge). The aircraft was sold in 2001 and is privately owned and current on the Canadian registry at the time of uploading.

Out for a taxi run after receiving a new paint job. No serial applied.

Massive flaps and ailerons on the Helio make it a superb STOL aircraft

One of two former Aero Regional Helio 295s preserved near Baños de Agua Santa. This one is preserved at "Los Pies de Dios" lookout hill on the road to Patate near the antennas. The other one (HC-BTC) is located at a petting zoo on the road to Runtún. The aircraft is located over a base on the side of the mountain that overlooks Baños and the Pastaza canyon. One can enter the plane and it is exciting as the strong winds move the plane around.

Former Aero Regional HC-BTC. Currently in display at the dinosaur part of "Animal Park", a petting zoo located in the road to Runtún outside Baños de Agua Santa in the Tungurahua province of Ecuador. Aircraft suffered substancial damage on January 15, 2014 while departing Macas on its way to Taisha.

Built in 1969, Operated from Fairbanks by Wright Air Service.

Ex USAF U-10D 66-14348. Last operational with the 129th SOW California ANG, retired to Davis Monthan in November 1974, departed in July 1979 becoming N5072Q in November 1979. Fitted with a tricycle undercarriage by 1987 but reverted to a taildragger by 1994.

Built in 1967 and registered N6313V, later N784HT and C-FEFT in 2005. Current on the register in 2024.

The Helio H-370 was the first attempt to add turbine power to the Courier. A standard H-250 was re-engined with an Allison 250-B15G turbine for testing in 1969. It found little performance benefit and increased fuel consumption. Instead pursuing work on the aircraft the company decided to focus on the purpose built H-550 turboprop Helio Stallion. N6309 got it's piston engine back and became the pattern aircraft for the HT-295 tri-gear Super Courier. The nose gear equipped Courier was developed from a request by the Mexican Government and the aircraft was exported to Mexico as XA-SEW in 1973.

Built in 1974. Operated by Winged Vision, visiting in order to provide aerial footage of a football game, if memory serves.

Built in 1954 as the first production Helio Courier. Operated by mission aviation company JAARS (Jungle Aviation and Radio Service) and a regular at Oshkosh for many years. Sold in Canada as C-GOOI in January 2011 and returned to the US as N100HC in 2019.

Built in 1957 as YV-T-JTP for export to Venezuela, re-registered as YV-C-FLK, to YV-T-UTZ in 1962 and YV-C-SAE in 1963. Imported to the US in 1963 as N173K, the aircraft suffered several accidents over the years, the last being in October 1993 when it crashed at Beaver Creek, 60 miles north of Fairbanks. The aircraft was restored and has recently been registered to a Wasilla AK. based owner. Phillips Field, once a thriving GA field home to around 100 aircraft, closed in 1991.

Operating in Central America on humanitarian and missionary work. Written off 31st July 2004 due to unknown circumstances en-route from Ilopango airport in El Salvador to La Ceiba, Honduras, the wreckage was located two days later. Officially cancelled from the US register in January 2018.
