Received a Vazar conversion to PT-6 turbine power in 1997. Joined Transwest Air in 2001. Working from Stony Rapids, it was destroyed in a tragic accident, with the loss of its pilot, on 22 August 2013. After a long and difficult day's work in windy conditions, the aircraft struck trees with a wingtip on its last landing at Scott Lake. The pilot nevertheless elected to take off again for Ivanhoe Lake. After an apparently normal takeoff, aircraft crashed into a small unnamed lake, 17 minutes into its flight and 7 miles south of its destination. The aircraft broke up on impact.

Quebec based Wheeler Airlines was the first to operate this Otter 1956 - circa 1970. Geophysical instrument company Scintrex Limited (an acronym for Scientific Instruments, Research and Exploration) used the aircraft to develop electromagnetic systems for mineral exploration and conduct airborne surveys for notable base metals and uranium exploration. Returned to passenger configuration in 1977, it flew in Quebec with eight airlines until sold to Harbour Air in Vancouver in 2001. With a Vazar turbine conversion the same year, the aircraft is current with Harbour Air at the time of uploading.

Delivered new to Widerøe's in 1957 and imported into Canada in 1971. The Certificate of Registration was cancelled in January 2001 and it was supposedly parked at Hemet/CA during this time, so I don't know what it was doing here. It surfaced dismantled in a truck at Venon/BC in 2005 and was converted to Texas Turbine, then was exported as N205RC. Alaska based in 2023.

Delivered to the United States Army in January 1957 as 55-3324, this Otter spent it's entire military career in Europe and was sold by tender with seven other Otters in December 1971. Pictured recently sold to Tyee Airlines as N9895B, the aircraft would fly in Alaska until sold to the owner of Buffalo Narrows Airways as C-GDOB in 1996. Delivered to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police on February 25, 1959, CF-MPX was sold in 1979 as the RCMP looked to modernize it's fleet. Pictured with Harbour Air (June 1985 - June 1986), one of the ten operators that flew it 1979 - 2010. Sold in the USA as N93PC, it was converted to a Texas Turbine Otter and flew for Rediske Air, in Alaska. On July 7, 2013, the aircraft tragically stalled on take-off at Soldotna Airport, AK and burned. The aircraft was later determined to be outside of the weight and center of gravity limits.

Behind the scenes building an airline. Gulf Air's C-GLCP is rolled into the shop for refurbishment and new paint. Entrepreneur Jim Pattison was merging ten float operators to form Air BC at the time, but would start to exit small float operations several years later to expand IFR regional flights with larger aircraft. Air BC sold C-GLCP in 1984 and the aircraft remained in British Columbia on floats. It's current with Harbour Air at the time of uploading, having been converted to a VazarTurbine Otter in 2005.
