A well-traveled Twin Otter, TJ-SAD has served on three continents, with around 15 operators. First flown in July 1976, it first served in the USA as N601KC, then the Dominican Republic as HI-685CA, to Europe on US register as N612BA, Africa as TJ-SAD, returning to the USA as N604NA before ending in Canada as C-GIED where it is current in 2025. Damaged following hard landing at Principe 10 May 1997. Repaired at Lisbon and test flown there in March 1999. Returned to Air São Tomé & Príncipe, re-registered S9-BAL in September 2000. Demonstrator of De Havilland Canada. Delivered to Grønlandsfly as OY-BYO in October 1984, sold to Eagle Air in December 1990 as 5Y-BMT, sold to Nepal in December 1995 as 9N-ACC and operated for Nepal Airlines and Air Transport Support Centre of the Nepalese CAA. It was leased to Lumbini Airways in March 1998 but crashed on August 21, 1998 when it impacted Mount Annapurna at FL70 en route from Jomsom Airport to Pokhara Airport.

Designated CC-138 in Canadian Armed Forces service, 13801 was delivered 24 June 1971 and entered service with 424 Sqd in Canada and Kashmir. Transferred to 440 Sqd in April 1975, it continued to serve the CAF until sold to Scott Aircraft Sales as N774A in December 1994. To Rocky Mountain Aircraft as C-FUGP March 1995, to C-FMOL April 1995 serving as such with Exxon Mobil, Provincial Airlines, Arctic Sunwest, North Wright Airlines until suffering a runway excursion on take-off from a gravel strip at Mile 222, Canol Road, NT, Canada on 4 July 2004, leading to substantial damage.
