This former Irish Air Corps aircraft was visiting for an airshow at Bray, resplendent in its original 1950s Irish colours.

Delivered to the RAF as SL542. Withdrawn from use in 1957 after an accident. Preserved at Duxford from 1957 then Horsham St.Faith from 1961 and Coltishall from 1963. Moved to St.Athan in 1989. Sold in 1993 and shipped to Bartow, FL for restoration. Registered as N2289J in 1994. Moved to St-Basile le Grand, Quebec in 1995. Reported to have been shipped to Enstone, UK then to Schwaebisch Hall, Germany in 2014.

This Spitfire fuselage is made from major bits of Spitfire Mk Vc A58-27 (BR484), which was exported to Australia in 1942 and struck off in 1948 after being at 6AD, Oakey. The Hunter Warbirds museum had it on display to promote their proposed airworthy restoration of Mk Ia X4009.

'The Loch Doon Spitfire.' Built at Castle Bromwich. To the RAF on 20 Oct 1940. Issued to 66 Sqn at West Malling on 29 Oct 1940. To 609 (West Riding) Sqn on 24 Feb 1941 at Biggin Hill. To 266 Sqn at Wittering on 14 Jun 1941. Finally to 312 (Czech) Sqn at Martlesham Heath on 6 Jul 1941. The Sqn moved to Ayr on 19 Aug 1941. On 25 Oct 1941 the aircraft crashed into Loch Doon whilst low flying, a wing clipped the water and the pilot was killed. The plane was brought up from the loch in 1982 and has been gradually restored over the years and went on display in 2017 in its 312 (Czech) Sqn markings.

Ex N8R, SL721. Registration cancelled on 21 July 1977 on sale to the USA as N8WK. It later became N721WK, later operated by Vintage Wings of Canada as C-GVZB, and sold to Belgium in 2018 as OO-XVI.
