Dwen Airmotive bought the remaining RNZAF Bristol 170s in 1978 with a view to reselling them. Some were sold but not ZK-EPE, was scrapped in 1986. The registration was cancelled four years later. Photographer not known.
Ex RNZAF NZ5911, ZK-EPG seen here a few months after it was ferried into Ardmore by Dwen Airmotive. The plan was to resell it and seven other Bristols. Some were flown out to new owners but not -EPG, which lingered at Ardmore until acquired by the Bristol Museum, Filton, in 2017. It will be dismantled and shipped back to the UK. James Aviation's ZK-AZL was the first top-dressing DC-3. Named "Hi-Land Duster", the windows have been blanked-off and a loading chute installed in the fuselage top. Ex RNZAF NZ3545 and NZNAC. Withdrawn 09.74.
