This lovely Heron (ex Royal Navy XM296) unfortunately suffered an in-flight prop #3 separation, but made a successful emergency landing at Viru Viru, Santa Cruz, Bolivia. The separated prop also damaged the #4 engine. Aircraft stored, and still there by mid 2020.

On 1 Nov 2015, en route to a new owner in Bolivia, the aircraft made an emergency landing at Santa Cruz-Viru Viru IAP (VVI) in Bolivia following the in flight separation of the no. 3 prop. The prop struck engine no. 4, causing substantial damage to that engine. The latest news I have received is that it was restored and awaiting sale.

Two Saunders ST-27s were leased to Skywest in order to provide scheduled air service from Saskatoon to Winnipeg via Yorkton/SK, Dauphin/MB and Brandon/MB as an economic development project. After the project was terminated, this aircraft went to Voyageur Airways until 1993 then it was put on display at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre, Sault Ste Marie/ON
