Still in the basic colours of the RAF's Queen's Flight with whom it flew as XR391. Seen here parked in the then Bay 2 of Prestwick's Main Terminal for an overnight stop before flying transatlantic to the Saunders Aircraft Company at Gimli, Manitoba, for conversion. Became Saunders ST-27 c/n 007 which first flew as C-FCNT with Otonabee Airways before joining Air Labrador. Written off in 1984 due to a landing gear collapse at St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.

De-registered 1969 and sold as N569PR.

Still in its Queen's Flight livery, this Heron was loaned to 781 NAS from 24 September 1969 to 8 July 1970 when it went to 60 Squadron, RAF Germany. Sold to Saunders Aircraft Corporation on 20 December 1971 as CF-CNT for conversion to ST-27 (new c/n 27-007), and written off on 25 August 1984.

The De Havilland Heron was used as an Admirals Barge by the Navy with an immaculate paint scheme. Here one approaches Northolt Rwy 08 over a Ford Zephyr and Triumph Spitfire, now Classic Cars,on the Oxford to London road.
