Of the seventeen CH-47Fs the FAMET operates (as of November 2025), thirteen are existing CH-47Ds that have undergone a deep modernization, in which all possible components of the helicopters that the FAMET had operated since 1973 were used. The FAMET will eventually get eighteen "Woodland Desert Sage" camouflaged Foxtrots.

A Luftwaffe Tornado which was built by MBB built in batch 4. It made its first flight on 30 Mar'84 and was delivered to the Luftwaffe JBG31 in Jun'84. In Jun'95 it was transferred to JBG38. The, a year later to AG51 up to Aug'10. In 2013 it flew with the GAFFTC from Holloman AFB (NM) and from 2016 with TLG33. A Luftwaffe Tornado which was built by MBB built in batch 4. It made its first flight on 30 Mar'84 and was delivered to the Luftwaffe JBG31 in Jun'84. In Jun'95 it was transferred to JBG38. The, a year later to AG51 up to Aug'10. In 2013 it flew with the GAFFTC from Holloman AFB (NM) and from 2016 with TLG33. The IDS is seen here in a characteristic Tonka take-off, full after burner and wheels-up immediately after rotating.

In Oct'97 it was moved to the TTC. In Jun'01it flew with JBG31 and from Aug'11 with JBG33. From late 2014 the Tonka was transferred to TLG33. The IDS is seen here during its take-off run at Albacete.
