In the PAN version of the G.91, the guns have been replaced by counterweights, and pitch dampers and the smoke system have been added, all especially for use by the 313° Gruppo Addestramento Acrobatico, better known as the "Frecce Tricolori".
This is a replica of the aircraft that took part in the first American national soaring contest in 1930. It became famous in 1931 when it flew over New York. This replica was built by Klaus Heyn and first flew in 1999. It was later handed over to the Segelflugmuseum at Wasserkuppe
