The Norwegian police took delivery of a number of AW169 helicopters from Leonardo in recent years. Two of these great-looking helicopters attended the Flydagen 2025 at Kjeller and actually went to the air despite the horrible weather, this LN-ORA and LN-ORC (msn 69096) parked behind it. They are operated by the Air Support Unit, which operates from the National Response Centre near Taraldrud, south of Oslo.

Flown in the colours of its former operator, the Swedish Air Force, this Sk50, or Saab 91B, is currently based at Kjeller in Norway and as such could be seen during the Flydagen 2025.

Despite the horrible weather, the Swedish Air Force sent this Gripen from Satenas to demonstrate its skills at the Flydagen Kjeller 2025.

At Kjeller, Tiger Moths were once built for the Norwegian air force. This is however a former RAF aircraft, with serial BB731 and it is part of the collection of classic aircraft kept at this Norwegian airfield. As such, it was present at the Kjeller Flydagen 2025.

Painted as Norwegian 568, LN-WNO is actually a former French army Bird Dog with serial 24568.

My first photo of this fine P-51D Mustang, originally built in 1944, opb USAAF as 44-73877. 1951 9279 for RCAF, 403sqc at Calgary. 1958 sold to the first civil owner as N6320T. April 29th 1968 N167F Finefrock, Oklahoma until damaged September 1st 1969 while taxing at air show in Texas, collided with another Mustang. Rebuilt and rejoined with Finefrock until 1980. September 1980 sold to Scandinavian Historic Flight, and rebuilt at Fort Colllins, Colorado. First post-restoration flight made in 1985. 2001 repainted, still N167F.. The Kjeller Airshow was one of the first public displays that marked the centenary of Norwegian military air power with F-16 686 painted in the pre-war national insignia colours.
