A rainy day shot of an ill fated aircraft. This one crashed into a mountain near Lebanon, NH the following year on 25th October 1968

A "Yellowbird" just a couple of months before the merger with Delta. Other regns worn were N1784B and N715US.

Arriving at the gate on a dismal day at LGA, and being met by an agent with boarding stairs, and a fuel truck.

In CMH for a charter, it served with Delta after the merger, and as N994Z with Ozark, Republic and Northwest.

Stored and faded in the bright Texas sun, but still in full livery.

The gorgeous DC-3 belongs to Mike Farray's Dakota Aviation Museum since 1993 and is seen here photographed at Maurice Roundy's Starliner Open House. It was still airworthy by 2005, but had been withdrawn from use at the owner's airstrip near Mason, NH by 2007. It was still there by 2022.

Delivered new to Northeast in January 1968. The airline was merged into Delta Air Lines on 1 August 1972.

Delivered to Northeast in April 1949, serving until damaged at La Guardia on 6 February 1953 then sold for rebuilding. From Convair 50 years ago.
