Ex 44-77875. Served El Al May 1952 until sale as N10012 in 1955 to Cordova and later Reeve. Crashed in February 1971.

Ordered by USAAF as C-69 42-94559 but not delivered. Bought by El Al in October 1953. Sold in 1961 after storage. Later G-AHEN with Euravia and broken up in 1965.

Note the additional markings. Nefesh B'Nefesh is an organization stimulating immigration to Israel from North America. On the rear fuselage is a cartoon character flying a plane.

Altough their numbers were already declining, Boeing 707s in pax configuration were still a regular sight during the mid and late 1980s. El Al was one of the carriers that still used the type on their passenger services during that time. 4X-ATX remained in the fleet until 1987, after which Arkia continued to operate it for seven more years. It was sold to Zaire as 9Q-CVG in 1994, and permanently withdrawn from use in early 1998. It finally met the breaker's axe at Kinshasa during 2001.

Like so many of its Boeing sister-ships, this 707 ended up at Davis Monthan being used for spares in the KC-135E programme, having faithfully served El Al since new in 1.66 till 4.88
