Photographed at the Coast Guard Air Station. The aircraft was retired to the MASDC, (as it was then styled), "Boneyard" at Tucson in July 1982 and sent to National Aircraft salvage yard in June 1996.

In August 1942, flying out of Louisiana this Widgeon attacked and damaged submarine U-171. It was registered to the US Department of Interior as N743 in 1948 and was sold to Kodiak Airways in Alaska becoming N2770A in 1956. In 1959 it crashed and sank but was retrieved. By now in private hands, in 1966 it was substantially damaged in a wheels-up landing at Seldovia, AK. Further ownership changes saw it registered N324BC in 1973 and N212ST in 1980. Acquired by the NAM in 1984

This Goose is painted as V190 which crashed into cliffs on Block Island, RI in April 1942. It is actually the next in series, V191 which was sold off after the war and registered as NC5538N in 1948. While with Catalina Seaplanes it was involved in three major accidents causing substantial damage. In July 1966 it landed in the wake of a tugboat causing the tail unit to distort, in January 1970 it nosed over on landing in the water wheels down and in December the same year it collided with another aircraft on the ground while taxiing at Long Beach. In 1974 registered N12CS and to museum c.1986

This Dragonfly was delivered to the USCG as 235 in 1946 and was based at Salem, MA. In 1951 the serial numbering was revised to 1235 and 10 years later it was sold as N4927E, but entered the NMNA in 1983

Backed by the mighty SP-5B Marlin, this HH-52 was taken on strength by the USCG in 1963 and served at several different Coast Guard Air Stations before retirement to the museum in 1987

The USCG acquired 13 Dolphins from 1931. In June 1934 NC14205 was delivered as an 'air yacht' for William E Boeing, the retired founder of the famous aircraft builder, who named it 'Rover'. In 1939 it was bought by Charles H Babb Co and was one of five offered to the RAAF, of which only one was taken up. In 1955 it passed to the Civil Aeronautics Authority, Washington, DC as NC26 and by 1961 to Catalina Channel Airlines as N26K. Around 1972 it changed hands again and reverted to N14205. By 1995 it was donated to the NMNA where it was restored in USCG colours

The Coast Guard serial of this HU-16 derives from its original allocation of 51-7236 as delivered to the USAF as an SA-16B. On transfer to the USCG in 1953, became a UF-1G, modified to UF-2G some years later. Flown in for the museum collection in late 1977

Ordered by the USAF as SA-16A 52-135. Delivered to the US Coast Guard as UF-1G 2135. Redesignated as an HU-16E in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB by 1969. Left in 1983 and stored in a yard ouside the base. Registered as N7025Y in 1989 but never applied. Still there in 2014.

Ordered by the US Navy as UF-1 141284. Delivered to the US Coast Guard as UF-1G 1313. Converted to a UF-2G. Redesignated as an HU-16E in 1962. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB by 1968. To Bobs Air Park by 1973. Still there in 1986. Scrapped.
