Registered on 29th March 2022 to Richard Shuttleworth Trustees, having passed from ownership with BAE SYSTEMS, one of three aircraft now in new ownership (with Blackburn B-2 G-AEBJ and DH.60 Cirrus Moth G-EBLV.

No longer painted in USAF markings. Ex G-BSBG.

Delivered to the USAAF in Oct-1947 as 47-828, it became civil as N94578, possibly in Jun-1956. This registration was cancelled in Jun-2010, but restored again in Jun-2012. On the nose it carries the incorrect serial 47-028.

Uncompleted sale to Honduran Air Force saw Corsair bu 97359 registered N5213V in 1959. Stored in Phoenix (1959) and Tucson AZ (1969), the aircraft was registered N97359 to fly in TV series "Ba Ba Black Sheep" 1976 - 78. Later it was based in Duxford, UK as N240CA during 1988 - 92 wearing New Zealand Navy markings. Pictured as bu 82050 which Lieutenant Thomas Hudner jr made a wheels-up landing behind enemy lines near Koto-Ri, North Korea in an unsuccessful attempt to rescue his wingman Ensign Jesse Brown on Dec 4, 1950. Lt. Hudner was rescued by helicopter and later awarded the Medal of Honor.
