This Noratlas did not land at Lelystad during the show, so presumably it was en-route back home from another airshow somewhere. But that didn't matter, its passing-by visit allowed the airshow spectators to enjoy a very impressive late-afternoon demonstration.

This magnificent amphibian arrived in the Netherlands in 1995, initially owned by Martin van Schie as C-FHHR, then N27311 and finally PH-PBY. It changed hands in May 2000, and following an extensive restoration this aircraft first flew again exactly a month before this photo was taken. It was painted in these Netherlands Navy colours three weeks later, and this photo shows its first public appearance as such. Unfortunately it suffered an engine failure on 21 April 2017, and was withdrawn from use. Repairs proved too expensive, and in 2018 it was decided to offer the aircraft for sale. It departed to the USA in May 2019.

Painted as Martin's Air Charter PH-MAD, but this aircraft never saw civil service. It is in fact ex Royal Navy XJ350, acquired by the then Aviodome in 1982.

This Devon was previously flying for the Royal Navy as XJ350. It went in service in August 1955 and was phased out on 25 March 1981. The Aviodome (now Aviodrome) bought it in November 1982 and painted it in the colors of the PH-MAD. The "real" PH-MAD (cn 04030) joined Martin's Air Charter (now Martinair) on 31 March 1960.

With Russian AF markings. Very cool Antonov 2, starting the engine and coughing up lots of smoke at the Airshow Lelystad 2004. Has very small "Stichting Antonov" titles under the cockpit.

Previously flown with the Italian Air Force as MM53293, visible on the rear of the aircraft. Also flown as I-AEKI. Was one of the rare visitors at the Lelystad Air Show. Is owned by Eric Vormezeele.

F-AZJU moments before touchdown after a slow but wonderful performance at the Airshow Lelystad 2004. This aircraft has a Junkers-built fuselage and CASA-built wings. It served with the Spanish AF as T.2B-212 until 1976, when it was sold as G-BECL. Its current owners, Amicale Jean Baptiste Salis, acquired this venerable aircraft in 1990, and they still operated it at airshows by 2024.

Seen at the wonderful Airshow Lelystad 2004. This jet, delivered to the USAF in 1949 as 48-178 and serving as such until 1958, was restored to flying condition during the early 1970s by Ben Hall. He also painted it in the Korean War 4th FIW markings it still carries in this photo. Its current owners bought the jet in 1990 (ex N178, N68388), and first flew it on 21 May 1992. By mid 2017 this Sabre was still flying (now as N48178, still in the same markings), as the world's oldest flying jet!
