Rebuilt to fly in Canada by Bob Diemert, CF-SMI, imported to UK for use in the film "The Battle of Britain". Dreadful handling qualities due to incorrect airfoil section used on ailerons - note no ailerons fitted in this photo. Dick Richardson borrowed a set from Z7015 and after air-testing by Duncan Simpson had a new pair manufactured. Problem solved. Aircraft destroyed in Canadian Warplane Heritage hangar fire on 15 February 1993.

At the time of the photograph it was hoped that the aircraft would be restored in the colours worn in WWII when it served as Dakota Mk.III KG587 with the RAF. It flew numerous sorties into advanced airstrips in Europe in support of the allied advance, and towed a Horsa glider into Arnhem as part of the ill-fated Operation Market Garden, plus 3 further hazardous re-supply missions. However, the restoration hopes were never realised, and in 2019 the airframe was acquired by Basler for possible BT-67 conversion and trucked to Oshkosh where it is currently stored at their premises.

Ex VL348. Registered to T.A.T. Limited (Tippers Air Transport) on 6 October 1967. Sold to the British Historic Aircraft Museum at Southend, Essex G-AVVO moved there in September 1968. The venture did not work as anticipated and her condition deteriorated to the extent that in 1971 she was being used as spares for the Historic Aircraft Museum's other Anson. During 1970/71 the Newark Air Museum 's Anson, G-ALIH, was being restored but was partly destroyed by fire in May '71. G-AVVO was acquired to replace it by utilising G-ALIH's wings and 'VO's fuselage.
