Besh-Kungoy was the birthplace of Taranchiev, who crashed their Il-2 into a German military column, after it was hit on the eastern front on 18 March 1944.

This UH-1B is currently on display at the Botanical Garden of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. The helicopter was been abandoned for many years on a piece of land in the same city. According to some locals, the helicopter was left behind by US troops during the second US intervention in the Dominican Republic in 1965. I don't have much information on this, so if anyone knows anything more, I'd love to hear it.
