This is actually UH-34D Bureau Number 150227 painted as HUS-1L Bureau Number 144657. 144657 was assigned to VX-6 on Operation Deep Freeze in Antarctica. This a/c is now back in US Marine Corps markings with the correct Bureau Number of 150227 applied.

The Combat Arms Loading Area (CALA) is where live weapons are loaded away from normal operations on the airfield for safety.

One of the many short lived Turkish carriers at that time GTI started operations in 1997 disappearing a year later. It re-emerged as Anatolia in 1998 and a final time 2002 as Fly Air.
