This aircraft was officially registered in the USA as N843TA in 1979 and was still current as such in 1992. It had N843TA spray-painted onto the nosegear doors when I previously visited OPF in 1987. For some reason, by 1992 its previous Chilean marks had reappeared. In 1994 it left to become HK-3892X with Transoceanica Colombia but was reportedly withdrawn from use at Bogota by the following year. It was scrapped there in the early 2000s.
