Delivered new to Western Airlines in 10.48 as N8408H. Later HL-25 and JA5092. On return to the US, operated by Texas Instruments who fitted the extended nose for test work as N240HH. Now restored to WAL colours.
1940-built two-seat advanced trainer version of the USAAC P-35 fighter. Ordered by Sweden but the contract for 50 was frozen and they became AT-12 Guardsmen in the USA, this example as 41-17529. Now preserved as NX55539 at Chino in USAAC markings of the period.
VH-JSS was one of a small number of Transavia Airtruks assembled in New Zealand and given New Zealand MSNs. It was registered ZK-TRR in April 1983 and exported to Australia in 1987. JSS crashed near Port Pirie, South Australia, on October 15, 1994, when it snared a power line while doing agricultural work.
