These Nords were regular visitors to LGW in the 70's. WFU and stored at Toulouse-Blagnac and noted in Dec94. Seen derelict in May96. Later scrapped.

Operated by 437 Squadron. The Canadian Armed forces were regular visitors to Gatwick around this time with a mixture of 707's, C-130's and Cosmopolitans. Delivered to the CAF as 13703 on 04 Mar 1970. WFU 31 Mar 1997. To the USAF Joint Stars programme on 17 Apr 1997 and converted to an E-8C with serial 97-0200. Retired to AMARC by 128th Airborne Command and Control Squadron/116th Air Control Wing, Robins AFB, GA on 11 Apr 2023 and stored.

To Lufthansa on 25 Feb 1972 as D-ABYG. To Braniff on 11May79 as N611BN so this must have been one of its first visits to Gatwick. To BCAL as G-BJXN on 15 Apr 1982. Merged into British Airways 14 Apr 1988. Leased to MEA and Nigeria Airways in 1988. To Continental as N78019 on 31 May 1990. WFU and stored Mojave Mar 1999. To Air Atlanta Icelandic as TF-ATA 05 Aug 1999. To N754LA Aug 2002. To 5U-ACE 14Sep 2005. Last noted 2011 at Roswell. Also in shot a Wardair 747, either C-FDJC or C-GXRD. A Southern International Viscount G-CSZA, a BIA 1-11, a Dan-Air 1-11 and two Dan-Air Comets.

Delivered to BOAC on 28 Apr 1960 as G-APFD. To BEA Airtours 16 Feb 1973. Leased to Air Mauritius 17 Oct 1977 and returned to British Airtours May 1979 and is seen here still with its Air Mauritius cheat line. Sold to the US as N888NW 17 Jan 1980. Used by several minor operators then WFU Fort Lauderdale Apr 1986 and scrapped. In the background are two Dan-Air Comet's.

Delivered new to Aviogenex as YU-AJA on 29 Apr 1971. To Nesu Air as TC-ALU in Aug 1988 by which time it had been converted to a Tu-134A-3. Back to Aviogenex as YU-AJA in Aug 1989. To MAP Irkutsk APO as CCCP-93929 31 Jan 1992 and carried Aeroflot titles. Registration cancelled on 14 Mar 1996.

Delivered to Executive Jet Aviation 19 May 1967 as N525EJ. It was leased out to Airlift International, International Air Bahama and World American Airlift. To Caledonian 01 Jun 1971 as G-AYEX, later merged as BCAL. Sold back to the US as N525EJ on 18 Jan 1985 and leased to St Lucia Airways. To N707HL March 1989. to 67-19417 as an EC-137D of the USAF March 1992. WFU July 2002 and stored at Davis Monthan. In the background is a company 1-11.

Delivered to Tarom on 05 Apr 1977 as YR-BCJ. Leased to Istanbul Airlines as TC-ARI 15 May 1986 and to Andolu Airlines as TC-AKB 25 Jun 1987. Returned to Tarom Aug 1987. WFU and stored Dec 1998. To Trast Aero / Aquiline International as EX-086 by 31 Aug 2006. Noted with Osab Air 07 May 2009. Ferried to Riyadh for use as a ground trainer Jun 2010. Noted 08 Apr 2014.

Delivered to UTA as F-BNRB on 07 Mar 1967. To SATA as HB-ICQ on 15 Jan 1973. Bought by CTA 01 Nov 1978. To TC-ASA with Istanbul Airlines 01 Dec 1987. WFU for spares at Ercan in Northern Cyprus Nov 1991. In the background is BIA Herald G-AVPN, a PA-23 Aztec and a Tradewinds Boeing 707 freighter.

Delivered to Alitalia as I-DABG on 28 May 1966. Bought by Aerotour as F-BYAT on 18 Mar 1977. To Corse Air International in May 1981. WFU at Orly Dec 1983 and broken up Feb 1985. Passing two King Air's and a Citation in the executive park.
