This Trident was delivered to BEA in March 1964 and was finally retired from flying in February 1975, although it soldiered on for a while as a ground trainer. In January 1982 it went to the RAF Museum at Cosford as part of their airliner collection was but scrapped in 2006 with only the nose section now surviving. It is on display at the Scottish National Museum of Flight.

The M.18 was intended by Miles to be a replacement for the very capable Magister but only four were built, of which this was the only Mark II produced. Post-war this aircraft had a successful career as a racer before joining the now defunct Strathallan Collection. Fortunately it is now on display at the National Museum of Flight, East Fortune.
