Discovered without wings by demolition crews in a Chicago garage while clearing buildings to make way for a new freeway during the 1960s, the museum's P-12 had been delivered to the 95th Pursuit Squadron, March Field in late 1931 and has been restored to the marks of the 6th Pursuit Squadron, 18th Pursuit Group, Wheeler Field, HI as operated between December 1933 and May 1940. Stuck off having suffered a broken strut on landing, it was donated to the Coffey School of Aeronautics, Chicago, eventually arriving with the USAFM in 1973

This 3/4 scale Boeing P-12C replica is powered by a 260hp Housai radial engine (a Chinese version of the Russian AI-14R). The aircraft is in the care of the Port Townsend Aero Museum.

On display at the super Planes of Fame museum.

This P-12 was delivered to the USAAC in Dec. 1933 and served until a landing accident at Chicago-Midway in May 1940 ended it's flying career. Now beautifully restored and on display at the super National Museum of the USAF.

The Model 100 was a civil version of Boeing's F4B-1 with four built. This one was sold to Pratt and Whitney for use as a flying test bed and later used by stunt and airshow pilot Milo Burcham and movie pilot Paul Mantz. Restored to flying condition with this Army P-12 color scheme in 1977, it was donated to the Museum of Flight in 1987.

This has to be my favourite Boeing! Thailand ordered two P-12Es in 1931, and one of them has survived for the RTAF Museum.
