The career of the AV-8A (S) Harrier with the Royal Thai Navy was rather short-lived. They were acquired from Spain in 1997 for service on board of the newly delivered carrier HTMS Chakri Naruebet. The fleet of Harriers was retired by 2006, and this example made it to the excellent Royal Thai Air Force Museum in Don Mueang by June 2017.

The design is clearly based on the well-known SF260 trainer, with a large turbo-prop. The under-nose intake is set further backwards compared to the first prototype.

The first prototype with serial ThOR6-1/59 of the indigenous RTAF-6 trainer can be found with the excellent RTAF museum at Don Mueang. The design is clearly based on the well-known SF260 trainer, with a large turbo-prop. The under-nose intake is set far forward on this prototype as can be seen in this picture.

Designated H.4 by the RTAF, these helicopters were operated by 63 Sqn from Don Muang, 31 Sqn and 33 Sqn from Korat. The two-seat reconnaissance/light bomber was powered by a 300 hp Renault 12Fe engine. Inducted in 1917, the type equipped at least 71 Service Aéronautique escadrilles at its peak. Production continued after the war that included civilian versions, with an estimated 8,000 built in all. The Royal Siamese Air Service imported eight aircraft from France in 1919, with additional deliveries taking place later. The type was licence built as the B.Th.1.
