This PZL-Mielec M-18A Dromader was the first M-18A acquired by Supermarine Aircraft (owned by the Martindale family) from Poland in August 1990 after years operating Grumman/Schweizer G-164A and Cessna A188B "ag"aircraft. The company later it bought Hicks & Lawrence's large fleet of M-18s in 2001 and flew 21 different M-18s over its history. Supermarine later moved its HQ from St. Thomas Airport to Port Burwell, ON, and C-GRBM is the last aircraft in its fleet. Most Canadian M-18s were utilized on seasonal forestry contracts in Eastern Canada to spray spruce budworm and other infestations. This photo is copyright © Kenneth I.
