Delivered to the Swedish Army as 02201 in 1959. Retired in 1969 and used as a ground trainer at Västerås -Johannisberg. To the Flygteknikcentrum at Västerås-Hässlö by 1988 and stored. To the Swedish Air Force Museum (Flygvapenmuseum) at Linköping/Malmen in 2015 then to Brattbytorpet Vintage Machine Museum in Stavre, near Östersund, in October 2016.

A nosewheel Harvard? Well, an NA-16. The fixed tailwheel gear NA-16 was introduced by Sweden before WWII. 52 Sk14s, plus 83 Sk14As with Piaggio engines, were built by ASJA and Saab. Some of these were modified to Sk14N standard with a nosewheel to train Saab J21 pilots. The tailwheel was simply retained. The Fw 44 Stieglitz (Goldfinch) was one of the best-known training and aerobatic planes of the 1940s and served until the end of WWII as the standard training plane of the Luftwaffe. This example on display at the Deutsches Museum - Flugwerft Schleissheim was built under licence in Sweden by ASJA/Saab and used by the Swedish AF for flight training until 1955. It was then sold to and flown by various private individuals and flying clubs until the 1980s until donated to the museum.
