This helicopter was constructed in 1959 and, as 02202, was one of three Army helicopters that went to Svalbard in 1966. It was given the registration SE-HDF between June and December that year (the other two were designated SE-HDE and SE-HDG). The helicopter was eventually transferred to the Flygvapnet as 02407 and stationed at F7 as a local rescue helicopter. Following the retirement of the HKP 2 the aircraft was stored in Såtenäs and moved to Aeroseum in 2013. It has been adopted by Swedish Air Force Historic Flight and the group hope to return the frame to an airworthy state.
