On display at RAFM Cosford. This Hornisse was built at Augsberg in 1943. The aircraft was powered by two 1,750 hp DB-603A engines driving VDM propellers. It differed from the Me-210 by its wings, longer fuselage and nacelles. Armament was two nose MG 17s plus two MG 131 barbettes on the fuselage. The A-1/U2 Zerstörer variant had additional MG 151/20 cannons contained in a Waffenbehӓlter 151 container that loaded into the bomb bay. The aircraft wears Geschwaderkennung 3U+CC that was used by II./ZG 26 "Horst Wessel," with its emblem on the nacelle. It was captured in Denmark in May 1945.

On display at RAFM Cosford. This is the only one of its type that was built to test the concept of blown flaps for lower take-off and landing speeds. The aircraft contained extensive ducting and nozzles for hot gases that blew over the top of the flaps and ailerons, achieving a stall speed of 32 mph. It had instrumentation to record temperature and other flight parameters. It first flew on 26 Mar 1963 and went on to fly 100 sorties with RAE between 1963 and 1967. It went to NASA in 1969-70 for further testing. The aircraft was struck off charge in 1972 and went to the RAF Museum in 1974.

On display at RAFM Cosford. This aircraft did test work with RR Conway engines, which were physically larger than the proposed Sapphire engines, after which it was used for autopilot trials. It was the last of the B.2 Victors to be converted to K.2 standard, going to No. 57 Sqn at RAF Marham. It took part in Ops Black Buck and as "Maid Marian" in the Gulf War with No. 55 Sqn, providing refuelling support for Tornados, Buccaneers, Jaguars and other Coalition aircraft. The ram air inlet for flight controls is positioned under the pitot tube and nostril air intakes are for air-conditioning.

On display at RAFM Cosford. The Jetstream was powered by a pair of 921 hp Turbomeca Astazou XVI C2 turboprops. Inducted into the RAF on 12 Sep 1973, the T.1 served as a multi-engine trainer with the Central Flying School. This is one of 26 T.1s that was on RAF strength. It has the emblem of No. 45 (R) Sqn "Flying Camels" on the fuselage, which flew the type as a Multi-Engined Training Squadron (METS) from 1992 under No. 3 FTS at RAF Cranwell. The T.1 was retired from RAF service on 19 Mar 2004. This aircraft made its final flight to the museum on 22 Mar 2004.

Delivered to BOAC as G-AOVF in 1958, to British Eagle in 1964 and converted to a freighter in 1968. To Donaldson International in 1970 then to IAS Cargo Airlines in 1972, and Invicta International in 1978. To IAC Cargo as 9Q-CAZ then back to Invicta International as G-AOVF in 1981. Flown to Cosford for preservation in 1984. Painted into BOAC colours then repainted into RAF colours as XM497 in 2007. Seen here at the start of the transformation from "plough to sword" with scaffolding and other support equipment in place.

This Storch was built at Choceň, Czechoslovakia in 1944. It was captured at Flensburg in 1945 and flown to Britain for evaluation and, later, use in support of test work at the RAE. It was retired from flying in 1955 and allocated to the Air Historical Branch collection in late 1956. It was properly restored in the 1970s and early 1980s while part of the historic collection at St Athan. It was moved to Cosford in 1989 and has been preserved there ever since.
