Later moved to Breighton, it was seen here under restoration at Halton to complement the flight simulator in the James McCudden Centre, the latter details were carried on the aircraft.

This surviving nose section sports a non-standard nose, a legacy of the aircraft's use for many years on radar and missile test work. WG789 was struck off charge on 23 February 1982 at RSRE Bedford and, after a period of use as a ground instructional airframe, the airframe was scrapped.
