Basic Air Canada colours (ex C-FJTU)

This DC-8 was with Air Canada from October 1967 to October 1982. Sold to a leasing company as N21UA, it operated for Eagle Air (and sub lease to Air Algérie) as well as CTA Canafrica Transportes Aereos. Converted to a freighter in 1989, it flew five years with Air Transport International until sold to ABX Air as N849AX in 1994. The aircraft was withdrawn in 2003 and later scrapped.

Delivered new to Air Canada as CF-TJU in October 1967. That became C-FTJU in 1974. wfu and stored Mohave in October 1982. In May 1986 over to United Aviation Services (UAS) and In July 1986 leased to Eagle Air of Iceland (N21UA) and one month later subleased to Air Algeríé. Returned to lessor in October already. In June1987 leased to CTA España (Canafrica) as N21UA. In November '89 over to ATI- Air Transport International, after freigther conversion. In January '95 to Airborne Express Cargo as N849AX. wfu in May 2003. Scrapped now.

Parked outside the Air Canada hangar and still in basic livery from when it was CF-TJU. Withdrawn from use as N849AX in 2003 and broken up.

Ex C-FTJU Air Canada. Owned by United Aviation Services and leased out to various airlines.

In those (good old) days cargo aircraft were regularly seen at the east apron of Schiphol airport.

Pictured taxying out to rw05 for departure. No prizes for guessing it's previous operator but I seem to recall that the aircraft was operating on that day for Canafrica.
