Delivered 10/1969 to Western as N2803W. Torosair was one of the early Turkish charterers. This 727 was damaged beyond repair (25.08.89) at Ankara-ESB after overweight take-off. Aircraft hit ILS antenna, luckily the landing could be accomplished without injuring pax or crew.

Delivered to Western Air Lines as N2803W in 1969. To Toros Air as TC-AJV in 1987. Hit an ILS aerial after takeoff from Ankara in 1989. Returned and landed safely but was damaged beyond repair and later scrapped

K25 slide scan. Delivered 1969 as N2803W to Western Airlines. Torosair TC-AJV 1988. Early non advanced model, written off in a spectacular accident at Ankara 25 August 1989. Struck localizer antenna 900ft beyond runway end on overweight take off, managed to return safely but never flew again. As a result of findings and safety reviews the airline was forced to cease operations three months later. Standard lettering on polished bare metal.

Torosair did not spend much on the painting of this 727! It was damaged beyond repair on 25 August 1989 when it struck an ILS antenna 300m beyond the runway end, after takeoff from Ankara. It managed to land safely but never flew again.
