Part of a Tyndall six ship departing Desert Flag after their 2 week commitment came to an end

This dual seat Eagle was delivered to the USAF on 9 December 1978. It started to serve the 7th TFS 'HO' from Holloman (NM), was moved to the 426th TFTS 'LA' from Luke (AZ), later the 555th TFTS 'LA' from Luke and was then moved to the Louisiana ANG were it was assigned to the 122nd TFS wich was later redesignated to 122nd FS. In both cases, no tailcode. In July 1998, the Eagle was moved to Warner Robins Air Logistic Center (GA) for maintenance, then returned to the 122nd and received the JZ (jazz) tailcode. In summer 2013 it was first reported as preserved on this pole at Volk Field (WI).

Unusual serial presentation. Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ in 2007. Scrapped in 2011.

Preserved at Mountain Home AFB, ID from 2009. Painted as 87-0173 which is an F-15E.

Built as a TF-15A and accepted by the USAF on 25 May 1976. Redesignated to F-15B on 1 December 1970. Flew with 'LA', 'FF' and 'TY' codes, and was modified to GF-15B in late 1991, early 1992. It started a career as an instructional airframe at Tyndall from July 1992 onwards. Current status ?

Built as a TF-15A and delivered in 1977 to the USAF. First assigned to the 36th TFW ('BT') at Bitburg. Served USAFE up to August 1981. In the meantime (1 December 1977) the dual was redesignated to F-15B. Moved to the 33rd TFW ('EG') in October 1981, to the 325th TFW ('TY', as pictured) in late 1984, and was transferred to the 102nd FW of the Massachusets ANG in mid-1992. Since January 1994, the Eagle serves as an instructional airframe at RAF Lakenheath (UK) and carrier 'LN' and "48 LSS" on its tail. Here 0124 is seen at the flightline of Tyndall during some maintenance on its landing gear.

This Eagle was built was TF-15A and delivered to the USAF in 1976. It flew with several units (1st TFW with tailcode FF and 58th TFTW/LA) before is was redesignated to F-15B. It was then transferred to the 57th TTW that became 57th FWW/WA before it was assigned to the 48th FIS at Langley AFB (VA) from late 1982. The Eagle arrived at Tyndall by late 1984 and received tailcode TY within 2nd TFTS of the 325th TTW. From April 1992 the F-15B flew with the 2nd TFS of 325th FW. Its career ended at AMARC, it arrived on 26 March 1993, got inventory code FH0056. The dual seater was scrapped on 4 Feb'09.

Last serving with the Oregon Air National Guard, this F-15 was retired to AMARC in May 2007 and scrapped by 2014.
