The helicopter was built as a CH-53A with BuNo 154867, served the US Marine Corps some time and was retired in the early ninetees, was stored at Pensacola (FL), stricken from ithe inventory and moved to the USAF inventory as GCH-53A. Was an instructional airframe with the 82nd TRW and first reported at Volk Field in April 1997.

This P-51 was accepted by the USAAF in Feb'45, one month later it departed the USA via Newark (NJ), for assignment to 8th AF. Returned to the US, via Newark in Oct'45. By 1954, it was transferred to 109th FS of the Minnesota ANG and flew from World-Chamberlain Field (later Minneapolis-St.Paul MAP, MN). By Aug'56, it was reported as written off following an incident at Holman Field, St. Paul (MN). It was stricken in that month, stored and in 1979 it appeared in the inventory of National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton (OH). This dual seat Eagle was delivered to the USAF on 9 December 1978. It started to serve the 7th TFS 'HO' from Holloman (NM), was moved to the 426th TFTS 'LA' from Luke (AZ), later the 555th TFTS 'LA' from Luke and was then moved to the Louisiana ANG were it was assigned to the 122nd TFS wich was later redesignated to 122nd FS. In both cases, no tailcode. In July 1998, the Eagle was moved to Warner Robins Air Logistic Center (GA) for maintenance, then returned to the 122nd and received the JZ (jazz) tailcode. In summer 2013 it was first reported as preserved on this pole at Volk Field (WI).

This old workhorse is used at the Lift Training Center at Volk Field. Its tail was lying somewhere nearby in the grass.

This old warrior was first reported with the Lift Training Center at Volk Field in 2013. It was definately used and more or less wrecked some 4 years later. But still liftable.

The Lift Training Center (LTC) at Volk Field is using this electronic Intruder - which is in a sorry state - as an instructional airframe. The a/c was delivered as an A-6A to the US Navy in 1962, it was converted to EA-6A in 1965 and was used by manufacturer Grumman with the Board of Inspection and Survey as a Trials Aircraft. From 1966 onwards it served as an operational with VMCJ-1, VMCJ-2, VMAQ-4, and possibly VAQ-33 and was then sent to be a target on the Harwood Bombing Range (WI). It was later moved to the LTC.

Great to see a Mile High Militia Fighting Falcon crossing the field during Northern Lightning 2017. The very high speed pass was impressive!

Making an unexpected very high-speed pass, far away and with heathazes, low over the airfield. But it's the only 345 in the database so far. Unmarked but assigned to the 176th FS of the Wisconsin Air National Guard.

Stripped of a tail code and markings, but assigned to the 176th Fighter Squadron, Badgers, of the Wisconsin Air National Guard. The Viper made a high speed pass over the airfield.

About to touch-down at the Camp Douglas runway, impressive to be that close to a moving Raptor, it was only made with some 90mm. This Lot 8 aircraft of Fiscal Year 2008 was completed at the Lockheed Martin facility on 18 October 2009 and was delivered to the US Air Force on 2 February 2010. It showed a deviating part just in front of the canopy.
