Built in 1954 and here in service with Vickers-Armstrong; wearing their crest on the forward fuselage and tail stripe. In March 1980 it was exported as HS-EAB and last know of derelict at Bangkok (VTBD).

Starting life as CX-AOV with PLUNA in 3.54 and enjoying long and varied service including Gulf Aviation, this Heron had recently been registered 9Q-CRL when bought by Channel in 6.69. Soon after, they announced a name change to Air England but this was the only a/c painted as such. Used on feeder services SEN-NWI-EMA. To Peters 5.72 then 5B-CCD, returning to Peters and on to Fairflight in 1977. Bought by Sky of Siam 3.80 as HS-EAA and stored at BKK from 1983; wreck said still to be extant around 2000

Originally G-ANNO with Vickers-Armstrong/BAC, this 1954 Heron went on to JF and Fairflight before finding its way to Thailand in 2.80. Already wfu by the time of this photo and last reported as a wreck at BKK (strange to see the new code for Don Muang since the new airport opened)
