Caption on the photo says Angeles Mesa Drive airfield. According to several sources this was the original name of Burbank airport before it became United Airport in 1930. Others claim it was Rogers airfield which closed in 1931. The background in the photo is too open to be Rogers, which was very compact. NC753E's fate is unknown. Built in 1928 and still airworthy in 2018 in the Historic Aircraft Restoration Museum. The GXE is some times referred to as the Waco 10. This example is still fitted with its original Curtiss OX-5 engine.

Despite the fact that Toronto is a large International airport there were a surprising number of light aircraft based there and access to the hangars was easily obtained. This beauty, built in 1928, was seen hangared there. Its registration was cancelled in 2004
