Ex N5024, HZ-NB2, 5N-HHH. Arrived at Southend 30 April 2001 as 5N-HHH of Kabo Air and placed in open store. Acquired by the Southend Airport authority in 2004 for non-destructive fire and security training, replacing Viscount G-AOHL which had been used for that purpose. During April 2004, it was given the fake registration 'G-FIRE' and the title 'Airport Fire Service' atop the fuselage. It was eventually towed to the scrapping area 1 July 2014 and was scrapped that month, with all traces having been removed by 23 July 2014. Its role was taken over by the training rig obtained from Filton 2013.

Built for the RAF as NH904 in 1945. To the Belgian Air Force as SG108 in 1951. Displayed on the roof of a scrapyard in Ostend from 1957. Returned to the UK in 1966. Registered as G-FIRE in 1979 and first flew at Elstree after restoration in 1981. Exported to the USA and reregistered as N8118J in 1989 then N114BP in 1991.

Falsely painted as "G-FIRE", but is in fact ex SX-BNL of EuroAir (Greece) and still carries its titles. Was in use for crash rescue training along with Cessna 150M G-BOVS just off the threshold of Runway 08. The real G-FIRE was a Spitfire XIVE whose registration was cancelled in February 1989.

Delivered to American Airlines as N5024 in 1966. To National Aircraft Leasing in 1975 then to TAG International in 1976. To National Commercial Bank of Saudi Arabia as HZ-NB2 in 1978 then to Kabo Air as 5N-HHH in 1997. Withdrawn from use at Southend in 2004 and used by the Southend Airport Fire Service marked as G-FIRE. Scrapped in 2013.

One of the late Spencer Flack's brightly painted fighter collection, this Spitfire was later sold in the USA, where it gained more conventional RAF markings. Its US registration is N114BP.
