Captured in Germany in 1945. Allocated RAF maintenance number 8474M on 13 February 1976, and displayed at RAF Museum Hendon since 28 November 1978.

On display at RAF Museum Hendon. Thought to have been built as a D-5 ground-attack variant, later changed to a G-2 with two 37mm BK 3,7/Flak 18 anti-tank cannon attachment points under the wings. Captured in Germany in May 1945, this G-2 was earmarked early on for museum display purposes.

Seen here after repainting in its original markings. They replaced markings applied for its intended appearance in the movie "Battle of Britain" and which it wore for about 10 years.

"Stuka" dive-bomber displayed outdoors at RAF Henlow as part of a Battle of Britain exhibition. Allocated 8474M by RAF.

The Stuka has had a partial repaint and new (unauthentic?) code applied since the earlier image. At this time it was held by RAF St Athan, but had been sent to RAF Chivenor for the latter's annual open day. The Messerschmitt Me-163 Comet makes an interesting size comparison.

The unmistakable cranked wing of the Stuka (contraction of 'Sturzkampfflugzeug', German for dive-bomber) has made this type one of the most famous and recognisable in all aviation. This example was captured in Eastern Germany shortly before the end of WWII. Fortunately she was designated early on for preservation so survives today in the RAF Museum, although she has undergone some modifications from her original service configuration to appear more like a 1940s BoB machine.

One of only two surviving Ju 87 Stukas is in the Royal Air Force Museum Hendon's Battle of Britain Hall. It appears to have been a Ju 87D, converted to Ju 87G-2 anti-tank aircraft. The wings were detached at this time but this does give a fine view of the fuselage.
