Classic shape, classic colours. New to LH in 3.67 and bought by ATASCO Leasing in 12.78 as EP-AMU (ntu), becoming OO-TJN and 4X-AGJ before purchase by Transjet in 11.80 as OO-ATJ. To Jet East as N727JE in 1.84 and used by DHL from 8.87, registered N701DH in 8.90. Sold to Cosmos Colombia as HK-4407 in 4.06 and was one of two 727 freighters with this new company, but scrapped (as N727NA) in 2014

Pulling up from LGA's r/w 04 with the smog of New York hanging in the background, this 727 served Northwest from 11.64 to 5.77 when sold to PSA as N973PS. Leased to Mexicana as XA-MEN for two years from 9.80 and back to Northwest after return, reverting to original reg in 1.84. Donated to Wentworth Inst Tech 9.92 and grounded at Hanscom Field, MA as a training aid

San Diego's sunlit houses form a nice backdrop for this Boeing 727 freighter. It was delivered to Eastern in 1968 as N8175G and joined the UPS fleet in 1985.

This is a very rare shot, and a slide I thought I had lost. A short-lived airline, the aircraft is clearly ex-Eastern as much of its original livery remains. My flight back to the UK had been delayed and I was able to negotiate ramp access while waiting.
