It was shot freshly painted in this 1940's colour scheme just 5 days before the official celebration. A teenager had stowed away in the landing on departure from Hanover, Germany the day before on flight UX833. The flight crew had a problem locking the landing gear on arrival at Palma, Majorca but eventually made a safe landing. Without the means to jack a B-737 at Palma, the plane was flown to the contracted maintenance company at Stansted where it is seen the next day, because of a lack of hangar space, outside the west end of the 'Ash' hangar, north side of Stansted.
