Delivered to LTU as D-AERT in 1980. To Rich International Airways as N501GB in 1996 then to Nordic European Airlines as SE-DVM in 1997. Returned to the lessor as N501GB in 1998 then to Novair Airlines as SE-DVX in 1999 and American Transair as N165AT in 2000. Reg not applied and withdrawn from use at Victorville, CA. Scrapped in 2004.

I flew a few times on this one, either to or from the USA. It was later N501GB with Rich International, SE-DVM with Nordic European Airlines and SE-DVX with Novair. It was sold to American Trans Air Jun 2000 and allocated the registration N165AT. Apparently it never wore that reg and was probably only used as a source of spares.

Departing Lohausen. The aircraft served LTU from 04.80 to 08.96.

Lockheed L1011s were the first wide bodies for LTU. This 500 was delivered March 14, 1980. In March 1996 it was sold to a leasing company, who added extra emergency exits to allow higher density seating. It has been leased to Rich International (N501GB), Nordic European (SE-DVM) and Novaor (SE-DVX) before American Trans Air (N165AT) bought the aircraft for parts. Registered only for the ferry flight to Victorville, CA, it was picked for parts until finally broken up June 2004.
