"Skjold Viking" was an early short-fuselage DC-6 delivered to DDL as OY-AAE in May 1948. It is seen in SAS markings with "Scandinavian" in the fin band whilst taxying on the inner engines towards LHR North. It was sold as XA-NAM in December 1959.

B-50A of 43rd Bombardment Wing, 15th Air Force named "Thunderbird" making a low-level high speed beat-up of Yeadon airport during the May 1953 SSAFA air show. Based at RAF Brize Norton on TDY, this was the last rotation to the UK of Strategic Air Command B-50's, returning to the US at the end of the month.
