A German oblate priest who had served as a medic and as a fighter pilot during World War I, Paul Schulte founded MIVA to provide missionaries with modern means of transport, including aircraft. In August 1938 he evacuated a priest from Arctic Bay, Nunavut in a Reliant - possibly this aircraft, which carries the MIVA logo on the nose, 'The Flying Priest' titles on the rear fuselage, and Rev Schulte's name on the tailfin. In 1942 the aircraft was impressed by the USAAF as UC-81L 42-107424. It reverted to NC16199 in May 1943 with Chicago and Southern Air Lines. Cancelled in May 1948, fate unknown. Deliverd new to ATI - Aero Trasporti Italiani in April 1985. That became Alitalia in October 1994. Stored at Upington(UTN), South Africa in January 2009. Scrapped soon after.

Delivered new to JAT Yugoslav Airlines in July 1973. That became JAT Airways in August 2003. Left the fleet in 2005 and preserved at Belgarde (BEG) and used as fire trainer.
