While banking a little to the left, XV196 (FMS serial 65-13041) is arriving at Alconbury during a logistic flight. The C1 was delivered to the Royal Air Force on 23 June 1967 and assigned to the Lyneham Transport Wing (LTW). In the course of its entire career it flew with this Wing. The Herc made its last flight on 4 September 2013 from RAF Brize Norton to St. Athan where it was stored. Although attempts were made to sell it, the aircraft was scrapped in 2017. A few remaining parts are reportedly moved to Old Sarum (UK) with the Boscombe Down Aircraft Collection.

Ex RAAF A97-210. N2267U was not taken up and the aircraft remained at Laverton until July 1988. Briefly on the US register as N12FV, it was registered RP-C3210 when it finally left Australia.

Ex RAAF A97-206. Scrapped at Manila in 1993.

Ex RAAF A97-215. N2268V was not taken up and the aircraft flew out of Australia for the US as N4469P. It ended up being impounded in Florida while being ferried to Africa. Scrapped in 1997.

Ex RAAF A97-213. Delivered to Aboitiz Air Transport. Scrapped sometime after 1995.

Ex 66-8573 and XV223. In store at Chino since 2022.

Ex RAAF A97-216. Delivery to Colombia was vetoed by the US government after the aircraft arrived in the US. It became N15FV in February 1985.

Unit was 16SQS at that time, converted from C-130H.

Parked in a terrible grey winter weather at the platform of Schiphol. This C-130E, former USAF (serial 63-843) 438th Military Airlift Wing and 516th Tactical Airlift Wing, was delivered to the IDF/AF in Oct'73. It received serial 312 (with connected registration 4X-FBJ). It became serial 305 in the late 1980s. 305 was assigned to the Israeli Tactical Transport Division. That division commands the 103 Tayeset "The Elephants Squadron" and the 131 Tayeset "The Knights of the Yellow Bird Squadron". Both squadrons pick their a/c from a poule. 305 was last reported ops in 2008. Most likely retired.

Ex RAAF A97-208. Painted as SH-3017X in error and repainted as HK-3017X. However that was then used on c/n 182-3218 ex A97-2016. A97-208 was sold instead in the US as N4445V and was then on sold to the French Government. It was delivered from Australia direct to the France . It was passed to the Chad air force as TT-PAA,

FMS serial 63-7774 was delivered to the Israeli Defense Force/Air Force (IDF/AF) as serial 301 (connected to registration 4X-FBF) on 14 Oct'73. At least up to Jul'87, the Herc was known like that, first confirmed with new serial 314 (with registration 4X-FBI) in mid-1990. 314 was then assigned to the Israeli Tactical Transport Division. That division commands the 103 Tayeset "The Elephants Squadron" and the 131 Tayeset "The Knights of the Yellow Bird Squadron". Both squadrons pick their aircraft from a poule. 314 was last reported ops in 2012. Most likely withdrawn from use soon after 2012.
