Pictured near the peak of Frontier Airlines' success, this 737 was delivered on May 24, 1979. During airline deregulation, the carrier's fortunes declined and they were bought (and operated separately) by People Express Airlines in October 1985. Frontier stopped flying in August 1986 and merged with Continental Airlines along with People Express in 1987. This 737 had been sold to United Airlines (N989UA) in March 1986 before bankruptcy. Retired in 2001, United stored the aircraft at Victorville, CA where it was later broken up.

Delivered to United Air Lines as N9048U in 1969. To Air Florida in 1980 and reregistered as N67AF in 1981. To Pan Am in 1982. Returned to the lessor in 1990 and leased to Haiti Trans Air in 1990 and Cayman Airways then to Barnax Air as 5N-MCI in 1991. Returned to the lessor as N67AF in 1993 and withdrawn from use at Miami in 1994. To Faucett as OB-1635 in 1995 but never delivered and scrapped at Miami. Some data sources show it as scrapped at Lima, Peru.

Delivered new to British Airtours as G-BGJL on 02 Apr 1981. W/O at Manchester on 22 Aug 1985. Destroyed by fire on take off. 55 out of 137 on board killed.

Delivered to Monarch Airlines as G-DWHH in 1982. Leased to Pacific Western Airlines for the winters of 1983/4 1984/5 and 1985/6 as C-FPWD and returned as G-DWHH each time. To CPAir as C-FCPM in 1986 who merged into Canadian Airlines International in 1987 who merged into Air Canada in 2001. Returned to the lessor as N983PG then to Lan Airlines as CC-CFD in 2004. Returned to the lessor as N763SH in 2009 then to Peruvian Airlines as OB-1955 in 2010. Withdrawn from use at Lima in 2011 and scrapped.

Delivered to United Air Lines as N9028U in 1968. To Euralair as F-GCSL in 1980 then to Air Mediterranee in 1999. Withdrawn from use at Chateauroux in 2005 and scrapped. Forward fuselage to Chichester UK in 2006 then moved to Winchester for use as an Air BnB rental in 2022.

Withdrawn from use at Mojave, CA in 2004 and scrapped in 2007.
